Grissom Swim and Dive 2009 News

Mandatory Parent/Swimmer Meeting
Friday, August 14 at 6:00pm
Physicals beginning at 5:30pm
HH Hall (upstairs, enter from the back up the stairs)

Every student athlete must complete a physical before beginning practice. If your student has not already had a physical, Dr. Randle Middleton will be there at 5:30pm to administer one for $10.

At the meeting will cover swim fees, practice and meet information, apparel orders and other details. We will do our best to answer your questions.

News from Coach Thompson:

Several things that I need your son/daughter to complete for me by Sept 10, 2009. If they have NEVER competed in ATHLETICS at Grissom!

They need to go to the www.starsportsmanship.com website and complete the STAR program, once they have completed the program, they copy the certificate at the end of the program. The certificate has to be on file at the school before they can compete. The code for Grissom is 01271. I also will need a copy of their birth certificate and a school transcript from last year.

THE FOLLOWING FORMS ARE FOR EVERYONE TO COMPLETE: (1) Physical Form, (2) Release form, (3) HCS Athletic Form, (4) Leave Permission Form, (5) Driving Forms

Three of those forms were e-mailed tonight (August 12,) the other two will be handed out at in class on Thursday and also available on Friday night.

No charge for swimmers
